Seafoam Marketing is a St. Louis-based marketing agency with 15 years of experience, focused on helping mid-market companies achieve growth through structured, data-driven systems. The agency provides a comprehensive suite of marketing services, beginning with branding strategy to ensure brand clarity and consistency. Their web design practice focuses on creating sites that reflect business identity and support growth objectives. Beyond foundational design and branding, Seafoam manages ongoing marketing efforts to maintain visibility and connection with target audiences, incorporating services such as paid advertising, search engine optimization—including AI-driven SEO—content marketing, social media management, and email marketing. The agency also emphasizes customer experience mapping to improve how prospects interact with a brand, alongside marketing analytics and reporting to guide data-driven decision-making. Seafoam works across a diverse range of industries, including retail and e-commerce, home services, financial services, manufacturing, legal, and nonprofits. Their methodology centers on identifying what drives a client’s most valuable customers and building systems—specifically brand, website, and marketing infrastructure—that replicate those successes rather than relying on high-spend, broad-channel advertising. The firm emphasizes transparency, deep collaboration with client teams, and an iterative approach to strategy, providing ongoing support throughout the design and execution phases.

If I could give the team at Seafoam 10 stars, I would. I am so very happy with the work they do for our non-profit. They help us understand the "why" behind everything, and answer all of our questions with patience and kindness. They built us the most beautiful website that is easy and FUN to navigate — I'm eager to send people to it, whereas before it was rebuilt, I felt slightly nervous and apprehensive. And each time we speak to them, we are so clearly reminded that they are rooting for us, always. We are deeply grateful to the entire team who take such incredible care of us, and our non-profit. Highly, highly recommended!

In April 2025, I contracted with Seafoam to create my Shopify website for my small bead business. We kicked off with a branding workshop on May 6th. According to the contract, the site was to be completed and tested 10 weeks later, by June 15th. I was assured Seafoam had developed on Shopify before. They were aware I had over a thousand SKUs. I'd even entered all the SKUs in advance. The branding workshop was great, but then weeks would go by where I wouldn't hear from them. On May 27th we had a strategy overview - 3 weeks lost. This was just to approve the direction of the site. By June 5th we had agreement on a direction and theme - 5 days before the site was supposed to be tested. Everything went this way with Seafoam. I paid $13,300 for an ecommerce website. Seafoam was underprepared and had no real idea what it took to bring an ecomm website to life. They didn't understand the back end of Shopify. They told me upfront they knew a junior-level ecomm software (Woo Commerce?) but assured me they had no issues using Shopify. I'd told them upfront that I wanted both a loyalty program and reviews capability, and they dragged their feet on finding appropriate apps all through June. By July 1st, I'd just been given a first look at the skeleton site, provided a list of feedback - some were things I'd originally asked for that were overlooked. They went dark for another couple weeks so I started sending over template language like Shipping, Refunds, Terms and Conditions on my own to try to keep things moving since I heard nothing back. My FIL passed the end of July so I was away from the project for 3 weeks. When I came back, there was no real work done. (A note here: I'd been unhappy with the theme we picked, but we'd decided to move forward with it anyway, which is fine.) By mid-August, we're about halfway there. I found myself pushing them more than they were initiating. In late August I mentioned to the team that I was *very* frustrated and upset by the continued delays - and was literally ignored. After bringing it up to the team again, and again being ignored, on Sept 8th (23 weeks into a 12 week project) I reached out to Nikki Bisel, the owner. Her response was that she had great people giving it their all, and that the scope was continuously changing (I wanted a different theme and was told no). I received nonapology sentences like, "Our intention has always been to make this smooth and collaborative, and I regret that it hasn’t felt that way on your end" and "I'm just sorry it's had to be anything less than a pleasure for you." Basically, I'm sorry you think that. I fired them on October 1st - 22 weeks into a 12 week project. No viable website, no refund for the $13,300 I lost. Just lots of excuses and delays from the top on down. You'd have to be crazy to use this company - especially on a Shopify site.

When it comes to technology I'm certainly in need of expert assistance. Last week I had a huge scare! I accidentally deleted ALL of my web-based courses off of my business site. It happened late at night and in my panic I called my Seafoam expert, Ryan Foizey. I was surprised when he answered! He not only answered, he worked on it that night and by early the next morning I was back online with everything back. I can't tell you how much I appreciated it and how that saved my business! It absolutely was above and beyond and sure gained my Seafoam loyalty. Thank you to Ryan, Nikki and the rest of the team for your excellent customer service!

I always enjoy working with Seafoam. They are fun to collaborate or brainstorm with. Their team sets expectations very clearly and follows through. On top of that, the company gives back to their community, which is always a great bonus.
