Our organization hired HOUsbm to update our website & social media platforms. I found them to be responsive. They listened to what we wanted, offered suggestions, and we are VERY pleased with the results. It took time and effort on our part to educate HOUsbm on what we as a society do. I was looking for a company to assist us with our digital presence - enhance our website and assist us with digital syndication of content and webinars I have been asked to be part of as an industry leader. After looking at this company's services, I thought they would be a good fit. I called and the person who picked up seemed suspicious and leary to take a call from a prospect in general. It was odd and not the best first impression for me as a prospect. Still I proceeded. 2 minutes into the call, after I explained what I needed for our business, the person asked what my firm did. We are a Salesforce.com Partner, but that was not the point. He thought I was selling him, which was very much not at all what I was doing. I was perplexed as what I explained I needed: website design, maintaining our online presence etc. There was no sales pitch, partnership, nothing to them. I was looking to pay a firm money for services. He then explained all he did SEO marketing. The initial impression they leave to a prospect is not good and very confusing. You probably lost a couple thousand potential dollars with that impression alone.
