Understanding Google Product Category 2928: Scrubs

The Google Product Category 2928, classified under Business & Industrial > Medical > Scrubs, is specifically designed for professional medical attire. This category is essential for merchants selling specialized clothing intended for use in healthcare environments, ensuring your listings are accurately indexed by Google Shopping.

Products that belong in this category are primarily focused on professional healthcare apparel. Based on examples from the US market, this includes items such as:

Women's and men's V-neck scrub tops and mock wrap tops.
Professional scrub pants, including jogger and tapered styles.
Complete scrub sets designed for clinical or hospital settings.
Stretch or flex-knit medical uniform pieces for healthcare staff.

Items that do not belong in this category should be directed to the correct neighboring segments. For instance, surgical or hospital gowns belong under their respective categories rather than general scrubs. If you are selling specialized medical equipment, medical furniture, or medical instruments, these must be categorized in their own specific nodes. Scrub caps are also categorized separately, so ensure you map these to the correct taxonomy node to avoid classification errors.

As this is the most specific level for this taxonomy, there are no further subcategories available for selection.

To include this in your feed, use the ID 2928 or the path Business & Industrial > Medical > Scrubs. Note that while optional, providing this category helps Google apply relevant policies. Since this is medical apparel, ensure you provide attributes like color, size, gender, and age_group to meet Google's expectations for accuracy.
