Understanding the Wine Racks Category
The category Wine Racks, identified by the ID 5578, falls under the path Furniture > Cabinets & Storage > Wine Racks. It serves as a specific classification within the Google product taxonomy for dedicated storage hardware designed to hold wine bottles.
This category is intended for products designed specifically for bottle organization and display. Based on US market examples, this includes custom wood racking kits, modular wine cellar storage systems, freestanding bottle racks, and specialized display row units. These items are strictly focused on the structural housing of wine collections rather than multipurpose furniture storage.
Items that do not belong in this category include multifunctional furniture pieces. If your product is a Wine & Liquor Cabinet that features doors or drawers for general storage, it belongs in that specific category instead. Other furniture like Buffets & Sideboards, Storage Cabinets & Lockers, or Kitchen Cabinets are also excluded. Ensure you do not categorize media storage or magazine racks here, as those have their own distinct destinations within the taxonomy structure.
Since this is the most specific level in the taxonomy, no further subcategories are available for this path.
To classify your items in your feed, use either the numeric ID 5578 or the full path Furniture > Cabinets & Storage > Wine Racks. Including this attribute helps Google categorize your products accurately, though it remains optional if you prefer automated categorization. Always aim for the most specific category to ensure your products appear correctly, as this choice influences how Google applies various store policies.
