Understanding the Water Timers Category

The Water Timers category is identified by the Google product category ID 6832. It sits within the Plumbing hierarchy under the Hardware category branch and is reserved for automated devices designed to control water flow for irrigation or gardening purposes.

What Belongs in Category 6832

This category includes a variety of devices that manage water output for landscape maintenance. Based on examples from the US market, this includes:

Smart irrigation controllers that connect to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
Mechanical water timers that attach directly to outdoor faucets.
Digital hose timers for precise watering schedules.
Outdoor sprinkler controllers designed for automated lawn management.
Manual dial-based faucet timers for simple irrigation tasks.

These products function primarily by restricting or allowing water flow through a hose or pipe system based on a set timer or an integrated smart application.

What Does Not Belong Here

Items that do not fit here should be placed in their respective specific categories. For example, generic Plumbing Fixtures, Plumbing Hoses & Supply Lines, or general Plumbing Fittings & Supports belong in their own distinct paths. If you are selling items like Water Dispensing & Filtration units or Plumbing Repair Kits, ensure those are mapped to their specific categories rather than under irrigation timers.

How to Implement in Your Feed

To use this category, insert either the ID 6832 or the full path Hardware > Plumbing > Water Timers into the google_product_category attribute. While this attribute is optional, providing it manually prevents Google from misclassifying your products based on automated and potentially inaccurate assumptions.
