Understanding Extension Cord Accessories (ID 6375)
The Extension Cord Accessories category, identified by the ID 6375, belongs to the Hardware > Power & Electrical Supplies parent category. This classification is reserved for items specifically designed to organize, protect, or enhance the utility of extension cords.
What belongs in this category
This category is for functional items that support the usage of extension cords in residential or commercial settings. Examples from the US market include:
- Cord organizers and storage straps for easy cable management.
- Cord reels and stands that allow for tangle-free storage.
- Safety covers and protector boxes designed to shield cord connections from weather and moisture.
- Extension cord hubs that provide additional plug-in points.
- Wall clips or mounting hardware specifically intended to secure cord runs.
What does not belong here
Do not include the extension cords themselves, as they belong to the Extension Cords category. Items related to electricity distribution or infrastructure should be placed elsewhere, such as Power Outlets & Sockets, Electrical Wires & Cable, or Power Inverters. If you are selling a generator, use the Generators category; for specific generator add-ons, use Generator Accessories. Electrical connectors for wiring should be placed in Wire Terminals & Connectors instead of this category.
