Floor & Steam Cleaners Category Details
The Floor & Steam Cleaners category, identified by ID 616, resides under Home & Garden > Household Appliances. This classification is specifically designed for mechanical devices used for deep cleaning or sanitizing floor surfaces and carpets through steam or specialized scrubbing actions.
This category includes a variety of high-performance cleaning equipment found in the US market. Typical examples include:
- Upright carpet cleaners and deep cleaning machines.
- Cordless hard floor cleaner and vac-mop hybrids.
- Multi-purpose pressurized steam cleaners for home use.
- Heavy-duty commercial-grade steam machines.
- Handheld steam cleaning devices and attachments.
Items that do not belong in this category include standard household vacuums, which belong in the Vacuums category, and floor polishers or buffers, which have their own dedicated section. Other exclusions are climate control appliances, laundry appliances, and specialized devices like wallpaper steamers or water heaters. If you are selling robotic vacuum cleaners, ensure they are categorized correctly under Vacuums rather than here.
You should opt for a more specific subcategory whenever your product fits into Carpet Steamers, Carpet Shampooers, Floor Scrubbers, or Steam Mops. Selecting these granular subcategories helps improve ad relevance and attribute matching in your shopping feed.
To classify your products, use the ID 616 or the path: Home & Garden > Household Appliances > Floor & Steam Cleaners. Remember that while this attribute is optional, providing it manually is preferred over Google’s automatic categorization, as it ensures your specific product attributes are handled correctly without relying on machine guessing.
