Understanding Category 543527
The Film & Television DVDs category, identified by ID 543527, falls under the Media > DVDs & Videos path. It is designed specifically for physical optical disc media containing cinematic or episodic entertainment.
Included Products
This category is intended for physical DVD formats containing movies or television series. Based on product trends in the US market, appropriate items include:
- Animated movie collections and individual family feature films.
- Science fiction, classic western, or horror movie series box sets.
- Standalone feature films covering genres like drama, comedy, or action.
- Digitally remastered or special edition physical DVD releases.
These examples represent the standard physical media products that fit the classification criteria for home entertainment storage on optical discs.
Exclusions and Alternatives
This category is strictly for physical DVDs. If your product is not a physical disc, it belongs elsewhere:
- Film & Television VHS Tapes: Use this for legacy analog magnetic tape formats.
- Film & Television Digital Downloads: Use this for content delivered electronically without physical media.
Always ensure your product matches the storage format; confusing digital codes or streaming keys with physical discs will lead to incorrect categorization.
Feed Implementation
To assign this category, include either the numeric ID 543527 or the full path Media > DVDs & Videos > Film & Television DVDs in the google_product_category attribute. While this attribute is optional, providing it manually prevents Google from miscategorizing your media inventory through automated systems.
