Understanding the Racquetball & Squash Category
The Racquetball & Squash category, identified by ID 503752, is a specialized segment within the Sporting Goods taxonomy specifically reserved for gear used in these indoor court sports. Its full path is Sporting Goods > Athletics > Racquetball & Squash, and it sits at level three of the Google product taxonomy.
What Belongs Here
This category is intended for professional and recreational equipment dedicated to racquetball and squash. Examples from the US market include various specialized squash racquets such as slimbody, control, and junior versions. It also covers performance frames designed for rapid court movement and specific ball types optimized for the unique bouncing characteristics of these two sports.
What Does Not Belong Here
If your items do not fit these specific sports, they should be placed in neighbouring categories. Items for Tennis, Field Hockey & Lacrosse, or general athletic equipment must be categorized accordingly. Wallyball equipment, despite being played in a similar environment, is also a distinct neighbouring category. Always verify if your item belongs to more specific groups like Boxing & Martial Arts or Fencing before assigning it here.
Choosing the Right Subcategory
If your inventory is limited to niche items, use the more specific subcategories such as Racquetball & Squash Balls, Racquetball & Squash Gloves, Racquetball & Squash Eyewear, Racquetball Racquets, or Squash Racquets.
Feed Implementation
Use either 503752 or Sporting Goods > Athletics > Racquetball & Squash in your feed. While optional, providing this value prevents Google from miscategorizing your listings, which can negatively impact ad performance and categorization accuracy.
