Team Handball Category ID 1047
The Team Handball category, identified by ID 1047, belongs to the Sporting Goods > Athletics path. This specific Google product category is intended for specialized gear required for the sport of team handball.
Products that fit within this category include specific team handballs, such as foam or synthetic match and training balls, as well as specialized handball gloves designed for grip and protection. Examples found in the US market include premium match balls, junior training handballs, and various models of handball-specific gloves meant to assist players during games.
Items that do not belong in this category should be directed to the most relevant neighbouring category. For instance, protective gear like boxing gloves belongs under Boxing & Martial Arts, while general athletic apparel or generic gym equipment belongs under General Purpose Athletic Equipment. If you are selling items for other sports like Basketball, Soccer, or Field Hockey & Lacrosse, ensure they are mapped to those specific categories rather than Team Handball to maintain accurate feed classification.
You should always choose the Handballs subcategory if you are specifically listing only the balls themselves, as this is the most precise classification for that inventory.
To include this in your feed, use the numeric ID 1047 or the full path Sporting Goods > Athletics > Team Handball. Remember that while this attribute is optional, providing the ID is preferred as it helps Google identify your products more accurately than relying on automated categorization, which may be too general.
