About Hydration System Accessories (ID 5998)
The Hydration System Accessories category, identified by ID 5998, is part of the Sporting Goods hierarchy. It is designed for components and maintenance tools specifically intended for hydration packs, bladders, and related equipment used during outdoor activities.
What Belongs in This Category
This category encompasses items that maintain, repair, or enhance hydration systems. Based on examples from the US market, this includes:
- Cleaning supplies like tablets and tabs for reservoirs.
- Replacement parts such as bite valves, tube lanyards, and clips.
- Modular components including filter adapters, inline water filters, and replacement tubes.
- Specific replacement bladders or pouches used to upgrade existing systems.
What Does Not Belong Here
Avoid placing complete hydration packs or standalone backpacks in this category; those belong to Hydration Systems. If you are selling general outdoor gear like tents or boots, categorize these items under Camping & Hiking. Equipment meant for specific sports, such as those found in Cycling, Climbing, or Boating & Water Sports, should be mapped to their respective specialized categories even if they include hydration features. Do not use this for fishing rods, hunting optics, or winter sports apparel, as these belong in their own distinct taxonomy branches.
Mapping Instructions
