About the Inline & Roller Skating Category
The Inline & Roller Skating category, identified by ID 499761, is located within the Sporting Goods hierarchy under Outdoor Recreation. This specific classification is designed for products related to wheeled skating activities and is critical for ensuring your inventory is correctly surfaced to shoppers looking for skate equipment.
Included Products
This category includes a wide range of skating footwear and equipment. Examples from the US market include various quad roller skates, such as artistic freestyle models, outdoor skates designed for recreational use, and indoor roller skates optimized for rink performance. Whether you are selling retro-style quad skates or high-performance artistic boots, they belong here.
What Does Not Belong Here
Do not place items that fit better in neighbouring categories into this section. Equipment such as skateboards, which fall under the Skateboarding category, or safety gear for sports other than skating should be excluded. Additionally, if your products are part of a broader set like camping, fishing, or cycling gear, ensure they are mapped to their respective specific categories like Cycling or Outdoor Games rather than here.
Choosing Subcategories
Always opt for a more granular subcategory if your inventory fits one. Use specific paths for Inline Skates, Roller Skates, or Inline & Roller Skating Protective Gear to provide Google with the most accurate classification possible for your items.
Feed Implementation
You can map your products using the numeric ID 499761 or the full path: Sporting Goods > Outdoor Recreation > Inline & Roller Skating. Note that this attribute is optional but highly recommended to avoid incorrect automated categorization.
