About the Dice Sets & Games Category
The Dice Sets & Games category, identified by the numeric ID 6037, is a specific segment within the Toys & Games hierarchy designed for items centered on rolling dice for gaming purposes. It belongs to the broader Games classification under the path Toys & Games > Games > Dice Sets & Games.
Included Products
This category is intended for standalone dice collections and themed gaming dice used in tabletop role-playing or casual board gaming. Based on products observed in the US market, typical items include:
- Polyhedral dice sets used for role-playing games.
- Themed gemstone or metal dice collections.
- Specialty sets featuring unique aesthetics like liquid cores or embedded icons.
- Decorative or novelty sets used for tracking game statistics or counters.
- Multi-sided dice bundles tailored for specific fantasy tabletop systems.
Exclusions and Better Categorization
Do not use this category for items that fit better in neighbouring segments. For example, a dedicated poker set belongs in Poker Chips & Sets, while complex equipment for casino games like roulette or craps should be categorized under Roulette Wheels & Sets or Blackjack & Craps Sets respectively. Board games that do not rely exclusively on dice should be listed under Board Games. Similarly, electronic devices used for gaming belong in Portable Electronic Games, and simple battle tops or accessories have their own designated categories.
