About the Flying Toys Category
The Flying Toys category (ID 1261) is part of the Toys & Games taxonomy, specifically located under Toys. This category is designated for items designed for aerial play that do not fall under remote-controlled specialization or specific subcategories like kites.
Products in this Category
This category includes a variety of airborne amusement devices. Examples from the US market include foam gliders, hand-operated drones, mechanical flying copters, and specialized paper airplane kits. Items that mimic avian flight or use ripcord mechanisms to achieve lift also belong here. These products focus on outdoor or indoor play where the primary mechanic is flight or gliding movement through the air.
What Belongs Elsewhere
Do not place items here if they belong in neighbouring categories. Use Remote Control Toys for products that rely primarily on electronic RC transmitters. Assign items to Flying Toy Accessories if they are replacement parts rather than complete toys. Other neighbouring categories include Sports Toys, Play Vehicles, and Robotic Toys. Ensure your product does not fit into Art & Drawing Toys or Activity Toys before finalizing your selection.
Using Subcategories
You must choose a more specific subcategory if the item is a Toy Parachute, a Toy Glider, a Kite, or an Air & Water Rocket.
Feed Implementation
Use either the numeric ID 1261 or the full path Toys & Games > Toys > Flying Toys in the google_product_category attribute. While this attribute is optional, providing it prevents automatic misclassification by Google. Remember that this category is distinct from your internal product_type attribute.
